Learn the basics of monoprint and linoleum printing from two
master printers in these media, Denise Kraemer and Jésus Cruz, jr. The course
fee includes all inks, 2-8”x10” linoleum plates, 24 sheets of 11”x14” paper,
and all tools necessary for both processes. Just bring your imagination!

Wooden Box Panels
Learn how to create wooden boxes that can be painted on directly
or have canvas stretched on. You will create and take home a finished 8
x10-in wooden box. All materials and the necessary tools will be provided.

Introducing the Pronto Plate
Pronto plates are made of a thin, polyester material, similar to
mylar, that can be used in printmaking. You can draw directly on the plate
surface to create images, or the plates can be created using a photo copier or
laser printer. The plates are printed with an etching press using oil-based
inks, as in traditional lithography. Also known as “polyester plate
lithography, “ pronto plate printing is quick, easy, and inexpensive. Time
permitting, elements of collage and chine collé (layering of thin tissue
papers) may be added to your prints.
